The Travels of a Budding Wikipediatrist

Terry Pratchett was knighted (pronounced kuh-NIG-ted) today

That startling revelation led to something altogether not entirely unrelated,
The Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle, of which order Sir Terry, né That Guy, is not.

And, without interruption but with location, my ambling led me to the next logical in an irrational sense progression of topics:
The 1993 Pantai Remis landslide
Video of said slide (link goes to YouTube)

Last night (pronounced as above, even with the kuh.) comma Ed Helms of the TV mockudrama The Office, not to be confused with The Office (pronounced the same, only in Britain) another comma stated in an interview to be named here that Los Angeles is an quote irrigated desert matching quote. So I looked it up, and LA! (pronounced LA!) behold LA (link goes to the place you found yourself once you clicked it). Turns out, Mr. Helms is right. Now I want a sandwich, which was the next logical progression.

Stress and the Monks of New Skete

The Monks of New Skete use a technique where they take the puppy they're training in their hand, extend their arm, holding the puppy out, away from their body. They'll do this briefly, just long enough for the puppy to start whimpering a bit. They then bring the puppy back in, holding it close to their bodies and comforting it. The concept is that stress is good for the puppy's development. That's what I feel HF does to/for us.

About me

Did you know that I'm real? Hold on, I'm not going to get existential. Here's my thing... I'm one of, let's just pull a number out of the air, six billion people. As I type, none of those have read this post. Save one. Save me. SAVE ME!!! Not a whole lot of introspection there. Even less exposition.

My point is I cannot reduce myself down to something to be related to. All I can say is "I like red soda", which is something I once heard Jerry Seinfeld say... on TV... to untold millions. Does that make me common? But, like just now, I thought to say it at just the right moment. Does that make me unique? The timing or delivery of it?

All I really want to touch upon with this blog is the fact that you only see "hunker" and "swath" together at nearly the same time is when there's a hurricane.

Purpose of this blog

Attention, ladies and gentlemen! The first 9 callers win tickets to Supertramp!

Seriously...

I would imagine there should be a reason for doing anything. As I say that, I'm not totally convinced of it. Be that as it may, I would like to post interesting things on this blog with the intent, dare I say "hope", that someone will read it. Ambitious would describe that hope. That and stupidity.
